Field Plumbing Manager
Location: Infinity Texas Air
Description:
Job Summary: This job is responsible for exceeding budgeted Plumbing gross profit dollars, monthly net new membership rates for new customers in both Residential and Commercial. The Plumbing Field Manager will oversee and manage the overall success of the Plumbing department of the office. This position will maintain a strong client focus while driving employee engagement in a rapidly changing, competitive market in both Residential and Commercial Plumbing. This position will start as a field-based role and will be expected to run calls as directed by dispatch.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
- Exceed budgeted monthly gross margin dollars in Residential and Commercial Plumbing Service.
- Exceed net new membership budget.
- Effectively communicate expectations and accountability to Plumbing teammates to increase business, manage workload and job costs, and achieve production and margin objectives.
- Responsible for ensuring technicians offer good, better, best options.
- Responsible for maintaining A/R levels < 5% of monthly revenue in Plumbing department.
- Work with branch leadership team to create a monthly operational budget to exceed branch budget objectives. Participate in an in-person daily huddle to review the previous days’ results and plan for success the next 3 days.
- Effectively manage relationships with teammates through clear communication, addressing all concerns, questions, or problems expediently.
- Ensure effective monthly 1 on 1 meetings are conducted with each teammate reviewing personal goals and scorecard.
- Conduct Technician Ride-Along weekly, filling out the riding along form, to maintain Technician performance.
- Oversee all safety training, processes and reporting to ensure the safety of every teammate. Report every injury or accident immediately to the General Manager. Responsible for minimizing legal liability for the branch location.
- Monitor daily maintenance of Plumbing material/equipment expenses and payroll reports. Review and approve all Plumbing invoices and other Plumbing expenses.
- Maintain Plumbing statistics to include 3-day call board, field conversion, average sales, tech generated leads and membership plan growth.
- Review Plumbing client satisfaction/issues daily and resolve any issues on the same day.
- Participate in monthly Staffing Planning meeting. Block out calendar time to efficiently interview candidates and follow the hiring process to ensure quality hires and reduced turnover.
- Lead and develop Plumbing team members to include hiring, terminating, training and documenting discipline. Responsible for implementing the Employee handbook and consistently enforcing it.
- Weekly Payroll Update to minimize overtime and expenses and to ensure accuracy and time management.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Texas Master Plumbers License
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a supervisor or manager within a service industry operation. Proven, consistent track record of meeting and exceeding revenue objectives.
- Clean driving and criminal records as required by state laws for home service companies and by company insurance carrier(s)
- Experience in analysis of cost and forecast data to align with business unit objectives and goals. Experience with job costing as well as operations profit and loss.
- Knowledge of laws governing business and employment in the local area.
- Possess good analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to use a computer tablet, smart phone and read a map or follow GPS.
- Neat, clean, professional appearance and excellent interpersonal communication skills with a desire to exceed client expectations and function in a team environment.
